I will install them friday night. Headlights are on their way back from Gerlicious Performance and will get here thursday at the latest! I'm hoping theyre speedy and get here tomorrow
I'm also curious to see what these headlights can do. PS, those VSXX in your driveway are gorgeous [/QUOTE]
Those VSXX's arent mine, nor is it my driveway. Those are @Gerxiong89 's on his awesome IS build.
Ill be posting the headlights in a bit, I installed them last night. UPS broke one of the mounting tabs on the headlight. Had to superglue the 15 pieces together and then used some plastic binder to make it good as new.
Aaaaand I bought even more parts. Picked up a flat bottom CF Steering wheel from DCTMS. Should be here monday. Coils are gonna go on in a few hours, in which i'll update the thread.
Everything looking good! Any concerns on longevity?
Edit: Dont think I mentioned it, but UPS broke one of my headlight mounting tabs.
On the repaired headlight tab? Not at all. I torqued on it pretty good about an hour after the suggested cure time and it was not moving anywhere. There were about 7 pieces that came off, I first superglued all the broken pieces back together. then i carefully and lightly attached the haphazardly assembled tab to the headlight housing with tape. after using a TON of superglue on it, it was able to support itself without tape. I then used plastic binder, and lathered it all over the tab and housing, being careful not to cover up the hole for the bolt. Feels as strong as OEM.
Coilovers are installed. Installed myself over the course of a few hours, this was my first experience installing anything suspension related.
No more body roll, and the stiffer springrates make the car feel torquier in the drivers seat. adjusted the damper by 3 on the fronts and the rears and it rides awesome!
Peep the headlights!
Steering wheel will be here tomorrow.
The ride height could go lower, but like speed bumps are still an issue, and so is rubbing. my height is super functional, my offset is still perfect, no camber plates or arms needed. will need an alignment, but ill do that next time i bring it to lexus. seems pretty spot on.
The car is basically done. I've done everything i want to have done to it, with the exception of my RRRacing supercharger, and maybe a carbon hood.
PLEASE ANYONE THINKING ABOUT DOING A STEERING WHEEL INSTALL: LEAVE THE NUT ON WHILE PULLING!
I learned this the hard way. destroyed my clockspring and steering wheel sensor. 1500$ later at lexus and im back on the road.... But hey, check out this sexy wheel by @DCTMS ! Going to be picking up some LFA inspired paddles and CF Y piece for it soon...
Beyond that, the car is done! Really the only thing I have left that I want to do is the RRRacing Supercharger!
