"Also grabbed some eBay headlights for now instead of having to keep restoring the originals." emphasis on the words for now. i suspect he probably knows their not show stoppers and its just going to run them until he finds something else to match the quality of work hes put into the car so far.

im well aware of how to read but ty. my opinion and i know its just my opinion but it makes no sense to spend the $ on those instead of building some quality ones and putting that $ into the headlights

The wheels are 18x9.5et20 and 18x10.5et20, running a meaty setup for tires, Nitto NT05 245/40 and NT05R 285/40. Still haven’t adjusted camber yet for the aired up versus aired down. I’ll post my final specs in a couple weeks when I put some work into the alignment.

Thought I’d show the catch can setup in location. It mounts in the stock battery tray. Also a little more detail on it, it has a hidden wall and is acting as my relocated power steering reservoir.

Headlights are a hot topic, right now they’ll be better than the faded headlights. Always have an eye out for a deal on some new oem ones. They won’t make or break the build right now so I’m not too worried.

The wiring harness from Wiring Specialties arrived along with my new throttle cable from PHR. They made it in black for my build which is awesome of them, always good dealing with them. All the AN fittings and hoses are also here to button up most of the fab work. Last piece of the puzzle will be the T4 spacer which is set to arrive Monday and we can get into the exhaust setup finally. A good ol’ box of jewelry.

Some interior work as well, got the dash back into the car and it’s looking a lot cleaner. When I bought the car it had a mismatched oem steering wheel, which always bugged me. Black everywhere in the car except the wood grain steering wheel. I’m guessing the car had an aftermarket wheel in Japan and it was removed before selling it, so they just tossed on an oem wheel not caring about the colour scheme. Two things left to go in here, the gauge install and shift boot. Getting my Ma to sew me up a leather boot for the shifter, she luckily had some nice leftover scraps from doing a motorcycle seat that will work perfect. Going with a gaugeART 52mm CAN gauge. We have a spot for it picked out and I’ll post some pictures when it’s installed. For now here’s the boost brigade steering wheel installed.

Got some work completed on the trunk setup. For some reason I didn’t get a photog of the finished setup but I’ve got an in progress of the install of the bulkheads for the fuel lines. Running a -10AN from the surge and -8AN lines into the surge. Plus drilled and tapped the mount for the water/meth setup.

Shawn finished all the -8 lines. Just waiting on a fitting (O-ring boss to AN) to finish the -10 line coming from the filter to the bulkhead.

Turbo spacer arrived and somehow it makes the turbo look bigger when it is mounted now.

This gives us the clearance needed for the wastegate now. I took some homework home that I’m about to get started on. Took both bumpers home to do some fibreglass work on. Going to delete the left side exhaust hole on the rear bumper as I’m running 4” single. The front has a few repairs that needs to be done. So I’ll get those patched and sealed then primer and prep for getting the car wrapped. A bonus clip for you guys, Russ finished getting his Soarer back together and was getting it tuned afterhours. This is him on 10psi, precision 6265, 1.5JZ. Made 320rwhp. Didn’t stay to see them turn up the boost and the finished tune.

Well started the bumper repairs. First time doing fibreglass on one of my own cars. So took my time to try and layer the fibreglass as evenly as possible so I’d have less body filler in the end. Hindsight happened for sure lol. Probably made the rear bumper harder by doing the inside first. If I could do it again I’d do a layer on the outside to get the bumper body line set then do the inside layers for reinforcement. Doing it the way I did made it so I had to do some smaller strips near the bumper cuts to fill some indents. Turned out good. Have a bunch of sanding ahead of me to get the final shape but here’s some progress shots.

So now going to let these cure for a bit and hit the lake as it’s a beautiful day out. Always good to be productive and still have fun.Shaping and primer next.

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads our there 👍🏼🍻

Completed to the best of my ability. I’m ok with the finished product and it will get a little bit more of a finishing touch by the pros before it gets wrapped. Overall a good experience on this one. Get your resin to hardener ratios on point and it’s more patience than difficult. Time to go toss them on the car.

Here is where the trunk is at awaiting a couple more fittings.

Getting some engine bay pieces painted up. They’re getting painted up by @luckybodyworxs in Calgary. Carson is a wicked dude who owns a CD009 manual swapped JZX100 Chaser. The overall theme of the engine bay will show itself in the next couple weeks.

Try and keep some updates coming, away for work for a couple weeks now.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but your old woodgrain one looks like it could be a rare item? What's the color called? Birdseye Maple or something?

Yeah it looks to be the Birds eye Maple steering wheel. It's not as crazy bright as the pictures I've searched, seems to be sun faded. If anyone is looking for one that is the black leather/birds eye maple trim let me know.
