Default 2jzgte with t56 help (The sulPPlus)

Hello, I've been building a 2jzgte project for several months now. I've hit a bit of a stiff wall now. I was using the w58 for a while now and I've come to destroy it now. I knew it was going to happen sooner or later and was financially prepare for the t56 swap. The problem that I'm having now is that I'm very confused on witch t56 I should use. I know I can go Grannas racing website and buy the whole swap Kit but I think that if I put in time into it I can create the same kit myself for half the price. Note between myself and you guys let's come up with the kit.

witch t56
bellhousing
clutch
Shifter
transmission mount (welding myself)
driveshaft
differential and axles

I suggest the one from this link http://americanpowertrain.com/b-7254...49-tremec.html Then piece the rest of the swap together based on the parts needed from the Grannas website. Good luck!

Yea. thats the same price Summit has it for. I was trying to go a bit of a budget set up. Like getting the GM T56 used and then getting the bellhousing from summit, getting a custom driveshaft and everything else. like a homemade setup.

As for which T56 to use it's the Tremec T56 Magnum or a used Tremec TR6060 (but there are several variants so they may vary slightly). Your common T56 from a 1997-2002 Camaro or Firebird, though good, is not the same animal. The Tremec Magnum and very similar OEM TR6060's are the very strong ones. Although I am not sure if all TR6060's have removable bellhousings. The Magnum does as it was explicitly designed for aftermarket applications. The Magnum has multiple shifter location ports for this reason.

The Grannas kit solves a lot of the basic fitment issues with the Magnum.
