I have to ask, where did you come across a GS with this mileage! I've been trying to find one for the longest. Anyways, loving the progress on this car. BTW I think your license plate is hinting at something

Thanks, I appreciate the support! I actually inherited this car from my family. They got a new car recently, but because of the way low-mileage but old-model-year cars depreciate, we decided it was more worth it for me to sell my old GS (I had a 2003 GS300 before this one, in Millenium Silver Metallic) and keep this one. So I swapped all of the parts over and started working on it as a build!

And yes, I thought the exact same thing when they gave me the plate :P to be honest I thought about doing a vanity plate at first (one of the black/yellow California plates, with "JZGS300"), but decided to keep this one because it's nice.

I finally got around to taking *real* photos of the car over the weekend. I also debadged the rear end of the car (removed "Lexus", "GS300", and also a dealer badge next to the plate) and did a paint restoration + ceramic coating. The black cherry pearl really shines now.

Next up - clear side markers (still haven't gotten around to installing them yet...), front plate delete, fender roll, and spacers.

What color is your car now? (or if you can link me to a build thread or something that'd be great). If I had to repaint a GS (not that I ever would, with this one...) I'd probably go with a deep blue metallic - think Deep Sea Blue from BMW.

Build thread here:

The color will be a surprise but I already bought the paint so I can't turn back now. Lexus has Nightfall Mica that I was considering which is similar to Deep Sea Blue.

I'll be repainting my GS soon and that's actually one of the colors I've been contemplating, as well as Porsche dark blue pearl.
