Good question! Honestly, never even crossed my mind.
Really the front lip would be taking the most road rash. Once it gets scraped on the bottom I wonder how it would hold up?

I don't think so. Considering they usually come cleared new. Just make sure to chose a quality shop that uses quality clear. We used Sikkens on ours
I have done a few for myself and had friends do theirs. Never had any issues with cracking

On my ISF Toms front I put velcro on the bottom to protect it..Soft side down of course. It worked really well.

Ok, exhaust valves are a must!! lol..With exhaust valve closed it's quiet with a taste of nasty. Open and it's all business!! All I can say is "WOW"
