Well I'm back. Hi club lexus. I was here a couple months ago seeking answers regarding my 2000 Platinum series lexus gs 300. Considering trading it for a newer model since I am already very upside down in my loan with the car so before I pay more money I can trade it for something newer and pay on that instead. My budget is under 15k and that it what I have been finding as far as cars go. So here are my questions and options.... I would just like to garner any facts, suggestions, etc. In terms of reliability, common problems...etc. for the cars I am looking at.

1. 2008 gs 350 mica blue/black 129300k miles ......2 previous owners...1st owner leased for 2yrs and 2nd owner had it for 5 years . 2nd owner serviced the vehicle every 5k miles oil change, new battery, changed timing chain gears also. Did alignment at 80k.

I like the color on this as I want to finally have a black interior :-)

2. 2006 gs 430 mica blue/grey.....121000k miles. 1 owner and I haven't found carfax for the vehicle. Has Mark Levinson which I like.

Upgrading from 2000 gs 300 which has 142000k miles. I have been told my own is good too but it needs work that I prefer not to go through rather jump into something else, but not just anything either. I just want the most for my buck. I want Mark L. But I want what will last longer. Anyhow thanks in advance. :-)

I like the 430 badge etc bc I see mostly 350s so it would be nice to have a little extra..

The 2008 GS 350 is is a better car compared to the 2006 GS 430. It has the refreshed design as well as 3 more horsepower than the 430.

The GS 460 is a better car because it has a V8 engine that is on the LS 460 but with reduced power.
