Default New GS300 owner

Hey everyone my names Damien✌️. I'm from the western Massachusetts area. Just pickedp up a beautiful 2000 Gs300 platinum edition for $4K. Came with 145,000 miles, 9/10 interior, 8/10 exterior. Check engine light on "from some type of sensor in the rear of the car near the fuel tank that monitors the recycling of fumes or something like that. The light has been intermittent the whole time Ive owned the car." Those were the words of the previous owner. Checked it out and the light only comes on every so often. Fell in love with the car at first sight. Will post pictures soon! Wanted some insight on what to do to her first. Coils? Exhaust? Engine mods? Open to suggestions and open to help hope to see one of you on the road!

I suggest that you do all maintenance stuff first before any mods. Take care of that check engine light.

Congrats on the pick up. I have the same check engine light code on my 2000 just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. Look on this forum its a lot of information on how to replace it

Default So a lot has happened

Got my Lexus inspected two days ago. Looks like I'll need a whole new exhaust system. Patched up for now but time to start saving up for something better. passed the re inspection today and cars riding fine. Still a little anxious about the light tho.

If it's p0430/p0420 it could just be an o2 sensor, very cheap fix, good luck hope it's not too costly

Nice ride

Got it checked out I'm going to need a whole new exhaust system minus the headers which are in decent shape. But will opt to change that too. Any suggestions. M
