Im glad that I wasn't the only one that had to mess with the preload on front coilovers. F&F rides great I love them. BTW I enjoy reading your progress on the LS.

I think I want to do some general maintenance prior to the spring, I am thinking alternator, timing belt, extended lugs (for front), rotors/pads, and just little things here and there. While still looking for an aftermarket rear bumper and putting all the stuff I have in the garage on, ugggh...

still got the new (to me) diff on the way, getting it shipped thru freight.

got the old one out, was very curious what it looked like inside

i guess i can thank previous owners for never changing the gear oil for 255k miles.
I changed it around then and it already had some metal shavings on the drain plug then.

after 10k miles after putting OEM Toyota Synthetic 75w - 140, it is totally screwed.

some more pics of pulling the diff out and subframe bushings :/ ,etc
I didn't even have to drop the exhaust! yay

Anyone know the easiest way to change out the subframe to diff bushings? they're in the subframe and they don't look good

got the new diff in awhile ago.....was quite the job, luckily I had a buddy of mine helping me out. Those diffs aren't exactly light lol

also, just switched out the PS fluid, which was actually PS fluid and not ATF. I switched it to valvoline synthetic atf. The old fluid that came out looked pretty nasty and dark brown. Forgot to take a pic of the fluid, but it's worth looking into!

the soundsystem in my LS has definitely never been touched, and is way past its prime, so I've been looking into it. Replaced both front speakers with aftermarket speakers, which required a little modifying to fit properly.

these aftermarket speakers also come with tweeters, so now i have 2 tweeters on both sides, as i kept the factory ones in there too lol.

also took the factory subwoofer out, since it wasn't working at all. plan on getting an aftermarket one to put in there.

Nice work.

Just in case you were wondering why your diff failed.

hint: It's not from lack of maintenance completely...

Just pieced together a 90k Timing Belt/Water Pump Kit for my LS. It's creeping up on 270k and timing belt was last done at 100k, so i think it's just a little past due, haha.
I opted for pretty much all OEM toyota parts, with the exception of the idler #1 & idler #2 which were koyo.

1. Toyota OEM Timing Belt 13568-09070 $43 shipped
2. Idler #1 Roller Tensioner Koyo 13505-0F010 $30 shipped
3. Idler #2 Bearing Koyo 13503-0F010 $28 shipped
4. Toyota OEM Hydraulic Tensioner 13540-50030 $39 shipped
5.
Toyota OEM Front Cam Seals (2) 90311-71002
Toyota OEM Front Crank Seal (1) 90311-A0001
$70 shipped package deal for the seals
6.
Toyota OEM Water Pump 16100-59275-83
Toyota OEM Water Pump Gasket 16271-0F010
$96 shipped package deal
7.
Toyota OEM Thermostat 90916-03100
Toyota OEM Thermostat Gasket 16346-50010
$19 shipped package deal
8. Toyota OEM Serpentine Belt 99366-H2230 $45 shipped
9. Toyota OEM Radiator Cap 16401-50071 $25 shipped

Also, added to the list:
10. Fan Bearing Bracket Toyota OEM Part # : 16307-50011
11. Serpentine Belt Tensioner Pulley Bearing
entire pulley part number toyota OEM : 16603-0W010

12. Serpentine Idler Pulley Bearing
entire pulley part number toyota OEM : 16604-50030
13. Toyota OEM Iridium Spark Plug Set Toyota OEM Part #: 90080-91180

depending on mileage, also consider replacing:
14. Driveshaft Center Support Bearing Toyota OEM Part #: 37230-50030
15. Driveshaft Flex Disc (x2, 1 front and 1 rear)

How you part all this out? Is this everything needed and the cheapest way to do it? Thinking about doing my belt and water pump when I redo my alternator...
