I just picked up a stupid clean 98' LS400 a few days ago. 1 Owner car came with a ton of service records. I'm making this thread to keep progress of what I'm doing and may have a few questions along the way.
By no means is this my first build. I did a slammed SC4 a few years back and I'm currently in the process of doing an MR2 build (2.2L stoker, Precision 5858, MSPNP, etc..)
Plans are fairly basic but with my own flare: coils, wheels, etc..
Currently looking into the ESR SR04 is 19x9.5 +22f and 19x10.5 +22r OR ESM 014's in 19x9.5 +15f and 19x11 +18r. (IF ANYONE HAS SOME INSIGHT FEEL FREE TO CHIME IN!) Even after searching, I'm having a difficult time seeing if they will clear the calipers, I'll give them a call after the holidays. Progress will be a little slow until I sell my other vehicle (05 Toyota Matrix) so that I can have some money to blow.
What's a build thread without pics?
SC4 build-
Exhaust clip from it, probably going for something similar on the LS -
Small update. Did the JBrady intake mod, removed all 4 mufflers, and installed LED dome and tag lights.
Here's a little sound clip

Sounds good man, any chance you could get an exterior vid of you driving around? I did the rear delete and I want a little more loud than it provided but I'm hesitant about having zero mufflers at all.

I'll be getting the exhaust piped all the way to the rear bumper within the next few weeks and I'll take an updated video but the only thing I have to record with is my phone so it would probably be super windy sounding.
Even without the mufflers there is still 2 catalytic converters and a center resonator to quiet it down a little.
Pretty big update. Installed clear side markers, had the exhaust finished, new engine mounts, new trans mount, and new strut rods. I also installed a Pioneer AVH-X1800S touch screen double din with a 12" Rockford Fosgate P3 subwoofer and Kicker CX600.1 600W amp, that I don't currently have pictures of and had the windows tinted.
I bought a set of BMW Style 95's and had some tires stretched on them last week. My coilovers, spacers, etc. is all here. I just need to tuck the fender harnesses, do some touch-up paint and have the entire car buffed, and roll/cut the fenders and I'll be close to finished.
Looks good man, cant go wrong with style 95's and a LS. Youre probably running an adapter for those as theyre a BMW bolt pattern hey? how much were your adapters?

Yes, they're 1" adapters and I got them on ebay for around $70 shipped.
what did you do to the exhaust, just pipe it to the rear now? moving along nicely, and style 95s are a great and simple look for the car. can't wait to see it all come together!
Nice, I've been looking for some Style 95's, lemme know when you're getting rid of them, haha...
Took me forever to find a nice set that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Yeah, I had a custom Y-pipe made that attaches to the center resonator then 2.25" duals into turndowns at the back bumper for a factory look.
