Default Upgrading Cooling System

Good evening,

I recently purchased a 2008 Lexus IS350.

Im interested in upgrading the cooling system, has anyone looked into doing this or done it already?

If so, where should I start? Thank you!

The radiators on our cars are more than sufficient even for track racing.

^But then, why do we mod our cars? Always room for improvement, right?

Well, I've only seen ONE all aluminum radiator online for our cars. Didn't care to test it out, and as far as I know, no one has upgraded...yet. Only stock or OE-replacement water pumps on the market for the 2IS as well.

If doing any track sessions, see about a better sealing overflow container (our factory ones like to leak out through the crappy cap...look for pink crust/residue everywhere) AND add some Water Wetter.

If you want to improve cooling, I would start looking at an oil cooler before worrying about the cooling system which seems to work out even for extreme driving. The guys who track their IS Fs are reporting high oil temperatures on track, I'm betting the 250/350 suffers the same, but we don't have a gauge like the IS F does.

We discussed an oil cooler before, I don't think anyone ever did it.

^ Exactly, that's why I'm encouraging someone to figure it out!
