Hey guys. My name is Kurshid aka Kay, Brown man, or that brown/ indian kid. lol. I live in Kennesaw Ga. and work at a local lexus dealership. I was a technician for 3 years and now I work the back parts counter. I figured I would start one of these threads and let yall see the work I've dont to my car since i got it in April. When i first got the LS, it was pretty.....ugly, well ill let u be the judge of that. But the car was bought and maintained at my work since day one. The body was good, the interior was great, and it was a great deal soooo I had to buy it.
I post more on Instagram then anything, so follow me on there Brownman.KM
Day one: Chrome pillar trim, bolt on chrome grill, and 20 inch TIS wheels.......
my last car, 97 honda civic ex 5 speed. with a few simple/ clean mods. and wheels worth more then the car....lol
After a couple of weeks of driving the LS and looking like a drug dealer going down the street. i decided to embrace the look and take it to the next level. First i installed my old sound system out of the civic, JL audio 500/1 and JL 10w7 in a HO box. I also installed a Usa Spec bluetooth adapter so that i can play music from my iphone through the car speakers and talk on the phone. The adapter actually works really well and the sound quality is good.
Next, I found a good deal on some 5Zigen GT mufflers. Once they got here, i got a buddy at work the knows how to weld to help get them on. We also deleted the factory resonators and added an X-pipe.
A little later.... One of my friends got me a really good deal on a full air ride set up. So i pulled the trigger and got everything coming.
The day everything came in.
Airlift performance front and rear struts
4 gallon tank
2 viair 400c compressors
V2 management
I wanted to do it right the first time so i took my time and figured out everything i needed and wanted to do. First thing i realized is that i need to spend some more money on the suspension. I ended up buying all the megan racing arms for the rear (traction, camber and toe) and for the front i got the GenB high caster bushings. After everything had been shipped i started on the trunk set up. I wanted to save as much room as possible and still have a full size spare tire, so i came up with this. (I've never done any wood work in my life, but i think it come out good for my first time)
with carpet
Came into work on a Saturday to install my air ride. ( a couple of good friends came and gave me a hand)
Fronts installed with GenB high caster bushings
Rears installed with all the megan arms
and a FEEEEEEEW hours laters and an hour or so on the alignment rack, its done... well so i thought.
Well the next day i realized i didn't adjust the rear arms correctly and that i would have to mess with them some more and do another alignment. YAY....not.
tested fitted some CCWS to figure out what size wheels to run
After a couple of weeks of looking for wheels i finally found a set that i liked. Thanx to the guys at revision audio in Hawaii I am now a proud owner of SSR SP3 in SBC 20x9.5 +25 and 20x10.5 +30. BYE BYE TIS WHEELS!
and how it sets today.
