Hey guys, my name is Matt (Ventura, CA) and I'm relatively new to CL. 2007 Tungsten Pearl IS250. I have been looking around the forum at peoples cars and builds and DIY mods and what not, and finally decided to begin a build thread (hoping that it will motivate me to actually do more mods). I am a high school student, so my money is not endless.. but creativity and efficiency help me out quite a bit. Don't have much done to the car, but thought i would post this for feedback for further mods. Here it is, i'll try to post as many pics as possible.

I was in Mammoth snowboarding! I heard though, all of my buddies were calling me. Wish I was here. Which reminds me, I want to get racks for my ride, I do not enjoy putting my board in my back seat. Its in a bag and all, but i just dont like the idea of it on my leather.
lol i was at bear...snow was pretty good but packed like a ****.
i got racks for my car too. its just a pain in the *** to drive with them and have the moonroof open becuase the sound is like unbareable...they cost me like $700.00 but i only got surf racks.

Not bad, for a beginner I like what you've done with your ride, however i'd like to ask ho w is the air flow on your stock air intake sence you custom cut the air box chamber..?? This is the first time i've seen this done..? Does that really work for you?? Is that really supposed to work like a IS F Sport air intake filter..??

It is essentially the same thing, minus the aesthetics. The F-Sport lower airbox is the same shape and size as the OEM IS250 one; however, it has a square hole, and no air baffles. I simply cut out a chunk of the plastic on the front side of the air box, and took a pair of pliers to the air baffles. As far as performance and airflow goes, i couldn't tell you... But i can tell you that the car sounds a hell of a lot better up in front. It sounds way more throaty, like i have a short ram...
