Default Headlight auto leveling

Does every ome headlights have auto leveling capabilities or some stays still ?

I was in the process of purchasing 07 ome headlights and in the description it says "without auto leveling"

does that mean it cant auto level or the seller just dosnt sell it with auto leveling parts ?

Thanks

If they are hologen then they don't have AFS but if they are HID then they have to have it.

AFS is the swivel, auto leveling is something else (though they are both controlled by the same ECU on the car, and they are equipped together).

To answer your question, none of the halogen headlights have auto-leveling or AFS, 2006-2010 HID headlights have auto-leveling and AFS and 2011-13 HID headlights have auto-leveling and no AFS.

Halogen is standard on all 06-10's and on 11-13 IS250's.

Halogen has never had auto-leveling on any year.

If your car didn't come with HID's from the factory, your car does not have auto-leveling.

If your car came with halogens and you buy the ones with AFS/Leveling, they will not be the same as you have now, they will use D4S bulbs and have build-in ballasts instead of using H11 bulbs without ballasts.

They are very different headlights (even aside from what I already listed, they have the AFS motor, the leveling motor, and additional horizontal alignment adjustment).

Can you take a picture of the back side of your headlight? I can tell you have you have if you do that, or PM me your VIN and I can check that way.

Is it a simple add-on though? As in just swapping the head lamps out or would I have to run new wires, change the ecu, etc.

Your car wouldn't have any of the wiring for the AFS or Auto-Leveling if it didn't come with it, nor the ECU that controls it, or the front and rear suspension sensors.
