Default my 2007 IS Slow build

Aloha,

I figured I would start a build log of my own ride, it will be a and has been a slow one due to that I work long hours and I don't have too much time to work on car but as I progress I will update.

I will start with the stereo build since it is a very different then the average install.

headunit/processor

I wanted to use some of the older stuff I have laying around so I started with mounting my Alpine PXA-700 controller, I wanted it to be in the dash since it will be my main control unit for everything else in car. system source will be a tablet which I will convert the signal to full digital to
be fed into the processor, cd will be fed digitally from an older alpine cdplayer that I modified the DOUT output to be fed into processor( didn't have a digital output before my mod). as you can tell
I wanted to use all digital inputs on my processor for clean signal.

here is pictures of me figuring out how to keep HVAC controls intact while removing stock cdplayer. once I figured that out I started the layout and build. here are some pics.

A. I disassembled the stock cdplayer and confirmed I only need the main circuit board
b. I then started to take apart the display and removed the display board so to make room for the
the clock.
c. I then grinded some of the mounting to fit the clock and hazard up to where the stereo display
was.
d. then I started mapping the layout and building the face.

e I ordered a lower kit from ebay( fit ment is top notch. will mold that to face to hold my cdplayer
and also the tablet will sit in front of the lower mount.

Default ground kit

here are some pics of the ground kit being molded. I bought this kit because I haven't seen anyone do a actually mold of this kit. I could be wrong but it still looks good. we modded the kit to fit and bring the profile of the car to look lower and also even. the front and back lip sat too high in relation to the side skirts. little playing around and we got it to look way more even and
over all makes the car look more aggressive when planted.

hey guys thank you very much! lotsa work went into it and I wish I had more time to spend on it.

yes we are gonna mold the wald spoiler unless I get the aim gain wing.

ill have some more pics later. finished the sides skirts and cleaned up the edges of sides skirts in wheel well area.

yeah I molded the side skirts also.

the bezel for stereo is almost done and looks good, its one piece and I need to skim the face with a light coat of body filler to finalize it and then paint it.

I must say the car looks kinda sick with the sides on it.

they are just held on by the clips atm. the blue tape is to protect the body filler from moisture.

I don't have to many pictures of the air suspension at the moment. the tank is in trunk but all plumbing is outside on rear bumper crush guard. all the air lines run outside of the car and are routed underneath well hidden and every 8 inches secured with mounts. the lines are no where to get damaged and are all loomed. I haven't finished the layout of trunk yet but compressors will be on sides by the tail lights and tank is in rear of tire well. I am putting in a simple sound system but need the real estate for the two amps and sub enclosure.

oh and I had to put my sons skateboard we did like 2 years ago.

hey Juvi,

I am doing custom paint on a set of work vs-kf 19s, no crazy offsets cause I want to plant this thing.
the air suspension is

modified JIC magic coilovers using UAS bags, Dakota Digital controller, two compressors.

I am working on my alarm to actually do a full bag dump when exiting car. just haven't gotten there yet.

thank you for positive comments all of you and I will have somemore pictures very soon.
