were you thinking of vented and flared fronts like the Breed fenders on the X8 above ??? Or more like a big widebody like the JZS161 Breed fenders ???

I've definitely thought about both

I was referring to the JZS161 BREED fenders. I just love that overfender/wide look that those give over the traditional flared fenders.

While the fenders were off I decided it was the perfect time to tuck my wires. I managed to just unplug the harness on both sides and pull it up and through. Previously I would have just drill some holes and zip tie the harness up, but this time I made some small little tabs and tacked them in place.

I like this more then having the wires run on top of the strut towers in the engine bay

When I had made my "Version 1" exhaust I stopped making it "nicely" near the diff. I knew that the front diff mounts and the actual subframe were in the way. I couldn't get the exhaust up high enough for my liking so I just left the stock rear mufflers and piping as was.

So now that the car was off the road I wanted to notch the subframe for my new exhaust.

I filled the hold with 1/2 of a 3 inch piece of tube and a piece of 1.25" L bar

Sorry no photos of it all done, maybe when i finish up the exhaust.

^ whoa! no turning back now. i was initially thinking that notch was to clear the axles. they will eventually hit the subframe if too low. great job on the wire harness relocation!

I decided that while I had the subframe out I might as well make some solid bushings so I did.

I also made delrin diff mounts that move the diff up 10mm This moves the bolts holding the diff on up 10 mm as well allowing me to tuck the exhaust more. Theses were so last minute I never took any photos. Perhaps when I pull my diff to get rid of the one tire fire.

I had my buddy Keith spray a bunch of my engine panels. We went with the same colour as all the covers on my 1.5JZ. Lexus Cypress Mica with gold pearl. They turned out amazing in my opinion, he wasn’t fully stoked because he wanted to lay down some more primer to get the pieces glass smooth.

More wrapping .... was contemplating wrapping the window visors. You can see i used a scrap piece to see how it would look. I still am toying around with the idea. It makes the roof line look lower, but also makes inside the car darker. Maybe one day ... maybe not.

So we were going to have BBQ and Car show/Meet at our shop to finally celebrate the grand opening of our shop and the relaunch of our new website. We had planned for our show named The Block Party to be on Saturday Spet 6th with our website going live on Sept 9th 9/9/14.

So trying to get the shop cleaned up a bit, website work done, reinstall all my suspension and wrap my car I was super super busy. Like so busy I didn’t take any photos......

So once I had the subframe back up I installed all the arms including the same old prototype Rear Lower Control Arm. The final retail version of the Toe Arm and Traction Arm. We also put in the first prototype Rear Upper Control arm.

Old Prototype above and New retail version below

I was hoping that my new suspension would allow me to leave the fenders “ Stock “ ( no visible changes to the outside body ) This was a pretty lofty goal trying to cram my 19 x 10.5 – 18 and 19x11.5 -26 under non pulled fenders.

Once I had it all in it looked like it would fit but was going to be close.

A little but of tweaking and we got it in

any axle binding at that camber? i heard/read going too much will cause binding and you will need to shorten or alter the axles. maybe that's where the notched subframe comes in? good work!

Naw man none. The axles still have room to move back and forth in between the hub and diff and arent binding at all. I have not rubbed the subframe with my axles yet.

My car isnt that low and its on 19s but previously on the 18s it never rubbed either.

Guess i just gotta lower my car

I'd be interested to see if the axles last while driving, they don't take kindly to any kind of extreme angles. Most who go the route you're going have had to had custom shortened axles built, depending on how much the try to pull the rear carrier inboard.

We managed to get the car down with the wheels tucked in just in time, we were still wrapping the car when people were starting to show up.

With the party in full swing Gerard and I had worked so many hours in the previous weeks and both of us had completely stopped caring about wrapping the rear bumper.

Luckily we had some dope friends who were like no we will just do it.

People rolling in and the lot filling up

So with that said they got the rear done and I got to pull the car out.
