Hello. For a good while i've been dreaming about a 3gr fse swap in a IS200. I love the GR family of engines i've owned an IS250 before and loved the 4GR but always wanted an 3GR, because i think the power it makes sounds perfect for me and the 3GR apparently have more SC kits for it available.

So, i just wanted to share the idea of an IS200 with a 3GR FSE from a GS300. The engine are cheap and there's a lot of them around. Always when i here engine swap for an IS200 people talk about 2JZ and 1UZ. I want something new a maybe cheap? Its cheap to buy a 3GR but i have no idea about the swap it self since it has never been done before, but I'm willing in the future to find out how much it will cost.

Right now i own an IS200 that im planning to do a lot of stuff to. I already have come a good away with some mods but there's a lot to do yet, the car is in really good shape to be a 21year; ld lexus in Norway. I've thought about supercharges for the 1G FE engine, but idk i want more.

What do u guys think about this idea? Any ideas on what one need to make this swap happen? Transmission, ecu, fuel system? Made this thread just for fun for now, maybe in the future this might become a serious thread and maybe we can get people to put an 3GR in their IS' istead of a 2jz.
