Thanks for the input on cutting the mufflers. I presume the only thing that occurred is that your car is louder?

after two days of working in the cold weather after the bits and pieces of the hurricane, they lights are finally on. thanks to those that helped me through PMs. it was a pain. i got the front BP grille and emblem on , about to do the sides and rear emblems.

Battery died from doing the headlight install. kept my 9 year tradition and get another optima battery. chose the only one for this car. the redtop "25".

Is battery install simple swap? I heard that some of the latest cars should have a secondary power source plugged in while swapping the battery to avoid car computer resets. I am about to swap mine, just hoping to get an advice. I guess time has changed since I messed around with my 03 eclipse.

very simple. took me about 15 mins by myself in the dark as you can see the first pic of the battery in the dark. im pretty sure i could of done it in 10 mins if there was daylight.

make sure you have a flat head screw driver to unclip two clips that hold the power wire to the oem battery casing. it's a breeze though. the optima battery comes with that plastic tray you see on the top. if you use the bigger tray, the battery will sit perfect for the battery tie down.

my car starts really fast now, i guess i didn't notice it before how slow the car use to crank up.

nope, no power adapter. my battery was completely dead so it woudln't have made a difference i don't think.

no problem, im not sure if your yellow top will work. you will need a group 25 size optima. i had a spare yellow top size 36 i believe and it didn't fit. was too wide.
