Things to do this weekend:
Ddm hid kit I had left over from the gfs old car for the fogs

Annnnd fender rolling

bulbs were still in casing, no im not dumb enough to leave bulbs on the floor haha, just testing everything was working before proceeding

picked up a spare to shave:

and still dont have the large files of the pics from a mini shoot, so excuse the quality of these:

so started work on the tail panel piece.. holes filled and cracks repaired with fiberglass resin. needs a little more work and a quick glaze of filler and itll be ready for primer and paint

expecting some more parts by the end of the week.. also picked up a set of temp wheels so i can ditch the stock 17s till i find a set ill be happy with for a while. pics of those once i repaint the faces.

been lazy on installing the front chrome door locks and door cup leds. finally got around to the locks, and running the wires. just need to tap the wires for the leds. getting some oe style quick disconnect connectors to splice in next time i pull the door panels

ignore the dust on the panel, was from the stand i used to put the door panel on while taking apart the handle

and another shot from last week

New stuff today. Nothing real exciting, just documenting the minor changes.

Wasn't happy with the color of the hid bulbs i had for the fogs, so trying out another set (hopefully
these match the headlights a little better)

Also do not like the look of the stock bulbs as DRL, would prefer them not being on or being more amber or yellow.. so giving these a shot as I am personally not a huge fan of the brightness of LED drls.

and finally got some lugs for the new wheels.

Still expecting a package from ups today

so had some time over the weekend to get the bulbs installed and wire up the door cup leds.
also bought a ebay intake, just for the sole fact i wanted to see the difference between it and my last set up. (gutted f sport style box and custom made upper intake tube aka diy fsport)
I needed to replace the airfilter so i figured for the price i would give it a shot.
fitment was horrible, but after some bending of tabs i got it to sit where it should. it is def much louder then the past set up. i plan on building a heat shield for it hopefully this week. idk if i will end up keeping it or go back to what i had (yes i know the whole debate on intakes on these cars and how they dont do anything but make noise) after i make the heatshield and tweak the fitment some more we will see if i end up keeping it or not.

Stock:

tried some domed LEDs for the city lights and was not happy

so i swapped them out for regular halogen amber bulbs

fog lights match better now

yellow noykas at 50% (drl) much happier with the shade of yellow of these vs the stock bulbs, again personally not a fan of led drls, and stock looked too "dirty" of a yellow (for lack of better words)

door cup leds

and this came in the mail for the nav hack

probably wont be doing much until i get tires for the new wheels.

and some more shots from the other week:

Haven't been on here in forever. Only a few minor new bits:
Steering damper:

Sport pedals (yes car is in desperate need of a good cleaning)

Clear courtesy lights

Metal flake shift ****

Then I picked up these volks to refinish. Don't know if I'll end up keeping them or selling/trading once refurb is completed

Thank you sir!

So just been working on the wheels. Figured I would tackle most of the clean up myself versus just dropping them off at my polisher. I love rebuilding wheels and actually have some spare time now soooo might as well

Might end up machining some custom caps (these my company made for some other wheels and are just a tad too big)

Removed all the half assed pin striping

Previous owner did NOT clean these wheels at all
After washing and using some surface rust stripper vs one that's almost cleaned up

And almost cleaned up.. Pretty disgusting beforehand

Going to keep up on the clean up then drop the barrels off for polishing. At least the faces are in great shape.

Will probably end up selling them after I'm done though

Great progress and documentation. Just curious to what the steering damper does?

Tempting for sure but they'll more than likely be sold. We shall see

Thanks! Steering damper supposedly reduces wheel vibration and makes steering a little heavier. Do a search on here, lots of reviews about them.

Excuse the dirty car:

And I found some vinyl left over from another wrapping project and decided to see how a few things would look. May end up buying the piano black trim kit.. Kinda prefer this to the wood
(FYI wrap job was done quickly with no intentions of long term use so there are flaws. Vinyl is also on the thinner side of wrapping vinyl so it distorts easier)

Plan on wrapping the center next, and finally give the car a good detail (way overdue!!)
