Satin Black Paint on the LS... a work in progress.
[QUOTE=04_LS_430R;6541813If you ship them off to get done, the guys are AACSTyle in Louisiana are extremely slow. It took them 3 attempts and about 20 weeks in all after it was all said and done...[/QUOTE]
I live in Australia. So will not be sending my lights to the states to get done. I will attempt them myself when the time is right.
I know there is another Aussie member that purchased a spare set of headlights to play around with angel eyes and LED DRL. So we may see another set surface in the next few months.

Yes! I need to go down a path less traveled... I think this did it.
Do it, but this is a base coat/clear coat paint job and NOT vinyl wrap.... I went all out and had it all painted.

Jotech Motorsports does headlight led conversions. My friend's cousin is the owner Kenny Tran and he did his GTR last year when he was here in CA. There are in Texas as well... Below is a sample, not my friend's car though.

I left the door jambs gloss black and the roof gloss black (it has a sunroof and I didn't like the contrast so I kept it glossy to maintain the glass like look on the roof) but had everything else de-chromed. It was only $3890 complete.
That looks similar to mine except I used the LED's with black trim and black base to blend in with all the black. I'm going to do the fog lights next.
It's not low maintenance at all... it's black. But it's not as hard to care for as the traditional gloss black. It does hide most of the swirls and scratches but you can still see them when you're close up. It uses a special matte black wax I get from Chemical Guys, they've got some of the best stuff for keeping your car clean.
