you know you're hardcore when you take a complete showcar that can hang with the big boys and completely re do it....

 

No more lambos. Some of the biggest fans of my car are saddened by this but it was time for the change back to stock.

Well I have acquired what will be the heart and soul of my new audio/video build. An Apple iPad 64GB with 3G will control the audio and video while also providing internet access and GPS. I hope this works in the way that I anticipate. While the iPad will be the heart and soul I will need to get a new brain for it as I sold my Pioneer 6500DVD and plan to replace it with a double din.

Expecting the wheels on U.S. soil any day now so it won't be long before the real progress begins.

 

I knew somebody was going to do it. As soon as the Ipad came out, thats the first thing I thought of. GL on the project!!!

I have been thinking about it since day one so I hope it works out the way I want it to. I am very impressed with it out of the box so I am pretty excited about the possibilities.

That installation that Fishman did looks pretty hot. I don't think I will be doing anything like that though but who knows. When we get to audio/video we will see what happens.

Will you be able to take out the iPad? Or will it be hardmounted into the dash?

That is an interesting idea...I've always wanted a full touch screen that is bigger than an in-dash set up.

 

The iPad idea is pretty cool. Fishman's is real nice with the swiveling motor.
