??? Torque and horsepower are mathematically related, so there's no way you can make more horsepower without making more torque. Torque comparisons are often pointless to the point of being idiotic when one compares torque in one car and torque in another with a completely different drivetrain. Beyond that, peak torque is also a useless comparison.

With what they're doing, I'd expect to see the whole torque curve (and horsepower curve) significantly higher than stock. If they can't achieve this, then it really would be all for nothing.

FWIW the old adage about horsepower sells cars but torque wins races is also BS. Torque at the WHEEL wins races, not torque at the crank because I can always take advantage of gearing to get torque at the wheel.

That's good info there lobux, but I think you took his comment out of context.

I don't want to get into a debate over hp vs torque (you are correct, hp is a mathematical function of torque; a real physical measurement of rotational force..you don't horsepower the bolts to spec, you torque them). The point of my original comment was to cite that the supercharger should net a much broader (and yes HIGHER PEAK) torque curve. Since we're all just bench racing right now anyway, I guess we'll just have to wait for the results

Alright so i am still in Antigua for work, but as of now i have two courses of action.

The first is that i will be flying to Minneapolis next Friday to pick up the completed car and drive it back to Miami.

The second is that i might sell the car to one of the elite's partners father.

I am really in a hard dilemma right now and trying figure out what i would like to do (keep it is on the strong side but then again so is a gt-r)

Are you kidding me??? Why would you ever consider selling your ISF after waiting sooooo loooong for it to be finished? I don't care if you want a GTR, after all you have been through you had better wait to get the completed product you have been so faithfully waiting for.......or is there some new detail that you know about the build that we don't???

Disappointing and anti-climactic. Was routing for this one; and a year and a half later this is what we get? Seriously?

Ugh wow possibly getting rid of car now. Didn't you just order another set of wheels for it too. I would never be able to sell a car after not having it for so long waiting for something to be built for it without at least enjoying it for a while.

Something about this whole deal sounds a little funny. What happened to Elite getting on here with their posts and updates? You would think if everything was fine and the car could be picked up in excellent condition on Friday we would know much more than we do, currently. The second detail that Splat's even considering a sale makes the above that much more convincing that there are details we are missing about this whole thing.
