i have contimplated doing the same also but

the new wood trim looks dope!

MongooseGA 02-27-09 12:37 AM

Did you buff after sanding between each layer?

Peter_95 02-27-09 09:54 AM

uhmm.... all black? i like wood better.... i wish there was some sort of a dark coat to make the wood trim a bit darker that would look clean imo

ICONYQ 02-27-09 10:10 AM

looks clean. I am divided on painting it or keeping the wood. I have to decide as I will be doing my interior soon.

Is the wood foe finish???

JPSFAB 02-27-09 10:33 AM

the wood trim definitely makes the interior look old. The sparkly gloss black looks awesome.

MongooseGA 02-27-09 10:37 AM

Now you've just gotta get something to clean the rest of the guts ;-)

The gloss black looks great. That's the look I was going for with mine but it didn't turn out quite that well. Maybe it's the clear coat.

Black looks good! Great job, lots of gloss!
Go for the black tan combo, it will look stunning!

wow that looks awesome.... what did you use to make it look like black wood?
i was thinking of doing this as well using a dark stain, something like ebony and then topping it with poly urethane..... would like to here your take!

JspecSC3 02-27-09 05:58 PM

ScottURnot 02-27-09 07:12 PM
