2024 Moderate Build Thread
TY. Passion? Yes for sure. I really appreciate seeing folks make anything their own. If any owner loves it, I say go for it. By the way, super excited for you starting this new journey. Make sure to keep us updated. What suggestions are you leaning towards?
Also, here are my latest updates:
1. Added a Fitcam. Dash cam that is integrated into the rearview mirror.
2. swapped my hyperdipped "IS350" emblem for a gloss black emblem.
3. Just got new tires today. I went up in size and really like how it turned out. They no longer look tucked and are more flush now as I have the spacers. Tires are Pirelli Pzero AS Plus 3's 245/40 R19 fronts and 275/35 R19 rears. Attached pic makes the frontend gap look larger but it's because my driveway is slopped. Pretty even drop when on flat ground.
4. Took a pic with my son's SI. Enjoy.

i’ve got the F sport performance exhaust going on. Will be tinting the front windows to match. I don’t have to do chrome delete because Lexus has taken care of that for me on the 2025. Some smoke and tinting for reflectors and parts of the tail lights. And I will paint the calipers F sport orange and add an F decal. I thought about doing yellow calipers as a complement to the light gray paint but the idea of it looking like an OEM upgrade is attractive to me.
I have a fit cam X in my Highlander platinum, so I will probably do the same for this car.
I bought a $99 roof spoiler in black that I will also likely install.
I thought about spacers and lowering Springs, but I need to live with it a little while before I do that. I may just run these tires and then look at a taller tire profile like you’re mentioning to improve the gap.
I’m still spending time looking at various builds and thinking about what I want mine to look like. Yours is certainly inspirational!

1. F sport exhaust is nice. It’s subtle but has a little growl to it. I like it quite a bit
2. I’m jealous about the chrome delete. Eventually, I may order that window, trim, and install on mine.
3. I’ve been going back-and-forth regarding the calipers. I love red and was trying to figure out if it would look OK on the incognito paint job. I may order the red vinyl wrap and see how it looks before I paint them.
4. I’m definitely getting a roof spoiler. Been eyeballing one on eBay that is CTM branded. I like how subtle it looks.
5. As far as lowering, I do like the Eibach pro kit as for my build, it’s subtle. I thought about doing coil overs, but there was no need for me and ultimately decided on springs. Looks wise, lowering is one of the best mods you can do. That’s my opinion.
Really appreciate your comments. My thread is really to document my journey, but if it helps others, that makes me happy. I spend so much time in my car, I just wanted to make it mine! At least that’s my justification for modifying. Lol. Let me know when yours comes in.

I read great things about these tires being quiet and grippy. Less sure about these in snow for me, but I like that they fill the wheel wells a bit more!
What are your impressions so far?

As for the new tires, I like them. They’re grippy and fairly quiet for AS’s. Not like OEM but expected. I went up in size and glad I did. Being AS’s, they’re more stiff and have a slight sound on certain surfaces but not bad. They handle great in rain and when dry. Anyone looking for AS, I’d recommend them for sure. 👍

1. Install red battery brace. 05-21 update: unable to do it because it’s a different bracket. May try to figure it out later.
2. Install rear seat floorboard lights (blue). Only to turn on when door is open.
3. Mount bass ****. Been tucked under driver seat. Was lazy and never mounted. 05-21 update: Complete.
4. Tint side markers on headlight. Light tint. Going to use Vinyl cut tape for the first time. Want to see how well it works.
5. Install negative batter cover. Positive has a cover but for some reason, the negative never came with one. Thought about carbon fiber "skinning" it an other parts in the engine bay. Never "skinned" before so I'm still debating. 05-21 update: Completed negative terminal cover.
6. Received an oscilloscope as a gift. Will attempt to set amplifier to optimize.
7. Fix chrome delete. Passenger upper trim has a wrinkle. Been driving me crazy.
7. Fix windshield chip. Purchased a fix kit. Never done before so I'll practice on my wife's 4runner first. She just had her windshield replaced 4 months ago and a rock hit it. Sucks.
Future items:
1. CTM roof spoiler. 05-21 update: Complete.
2. CTM V3 high kick trunk spoiler. 05-21 update: Complete.
3. Megan Racking front strut bar. Been hearing creaking from my roof when pulling out of my driveway. I'm thinking it's from the chassis flexing.

I finally bought this one. Came the other day and looks pretty good. Yet to install.

I used AeroFlow Dynamics to get pre cut dark smoke for the side of the headlight. . The dark smoke for the headlight Amber looks great and is plenty bright at night. You may want darker than light tint.

As far as the spoiler/wing, I’ll probably order mine in carbon fiber, and if I don’t like it, I’ll just wrap it in gloss black. I have tons of film of different varieties and enjoy wrapping. Well, kind of enjoy it. Depends on how complex a job it is. 😁
Here are some pics.

Negative battery cover.
Lexus coasters.
Red start button.
1. Blue ambient lights in my interior door handle bowls (stay on when car is running).
2. Blue footwell lights for back seat (only to come on when entering).
3. Stitched steering wheel cover. I did this for my Infiniti and it turned out great. I'm just worried about how to tuck it under the steering wheel trim. It was easy to tuck for the infiniti as the trim had some gaps but the IS doesn't have them. I may need to remove the steering wheel in order to install properly. I would stitch it while on and then remove the steering wheel, remove the trim so I can lay the leather down and then screw down the trim on top of the leather. I ordered it with white stitching to match my airbag cover.
Here's how it looked on the infiniti:
Right now, I amjust trying to figure out which line to tap off of. From what I understand, you cannot tap off of the existing bowl light wires as those dim and may cause flickering on aftermarket bulbs.
Might have to tap off of the window switches, but I’m still doing research on it to get it figured out.
