Car Craft Auto Detailing on YouTube is your best bet for answers. Hands down IMO he gives the best advice.

Honestly - having done a correction with a friend and a ceramic coating - I see the reasoning behind the expensive pricing. $650 - not sure. But again, the premium is for a reason. It took us 1 PM to 9 PM between 2 people for the entire process done correctly. In 95 degree VA weather. Only incorrect thing that was done was just 1 coat was done. We ran out of energy. But is holding up great so far. Used CarPro CQUARTZ UK 3.0.

I have plenty of "money to fork", I just don't waste my money especially when it comes to incredibly rude unprofessional people. My god I don't even want to ask where you work and if your employer thinks you are a good representative for the company here.

"Money to fork", LMAO. That is honestly laughable.

In fact, I posted a bit too much about a Waterless / Rinseless product deemed "Boutique" which is fine by me.

If your Lexus is new, my personal advice is to bring it to a reputable shop to have quality Pain Protective Film (PPF) applied to as much as your car as you can possibly afford! Its VITAL. Having a Pro do this is well worth the money AND while its there I would personally have them apply a good quality Ceramic Coating over top of the PPF. Will it cost you? = Definitely! However, you own one of the most well known and oftentimes expensive vehicles on the road today (Yes-along w Benz, BMW, Porsche, etc) Mahy of us even elected to have our Dealership get PPF done - which BTW is Farmed out to a Company who does it for X and you end up pay X$X for it. Also, you need to remember that prior to any of these things being applied, the car has to be incredibly immaculate by clay bar, paint correction and any tiny nicks. Otherwise its not worth it in the end. Before having my RCF done, I conducted TONS of independent research on which brands are the most advantageous. I covered my 2017 RCF in Suntek Ultra because it supposedly has th best properties to make your color "pop", whereas Xpel has some of the best "Self Healing" properties on the market. Either way, your car needs to be absolutely pristine before applying either PPF or Ceramic Coating.

I realize this is a Ceramic Coating Thread Inquiry, not PPF. But the two go hand in hand to protect the car you love. Do your due diligence and if you are NOT proficient in applying either one of these things, it truly is best to allow a serious Professional to do it for you. I am NOT saying Ceramic Coating cannot be done in your driveway, I'm merely saying there is too much room for error. There are actually Ceramic Coatings that you and I can NOT purchase on the market / internet, you must be a licensed pro to obtain and apply these coatings which are more expensive for sure. As stated above, you should also Coat your Wheels, Calipers, and again - do the ENTIRE car regardless of how much PPF was applied. I chose Suntek Ultra for my USB and Professionally Applied CQuartz Finest Reserve Ceramic Coating, and can honestly say it sank my funds, but is not incredibly easy to care for and maintain in such awesome condition! Only YOU can make this choice in the end, but if you purchased the car instead of leasing - think about how you want it to look 5-10 years from now-if you keep your cars that long.

Sorry., I got carried away with my response here, but hopefully a tiny bit of it sunk in to whomever is considering these two methods of keeping your precious Lexus looking good! I NEVER regret doing it to entire car and now use my own personal choice of products (Debatable of course) to maintain its finish with the PPF and Ceramic Coating. **Don't forget, you need to care for these as well to make the last. If anyone wants to PM me to say Shut Up or perhaps ask any questions, I'm known for doing all I can to help others with all the Trial & Error Ive gone thru in my many years detailing cars. So that's my contribution with this novel of mine!

**Taken the day I took delivery after having PPF & CC done. Those wheels have fortunately been sold !

For me it isn't that I don't have the money to pay for such services but rather I like to DIY on many things and save money. I've been buying some stuff to do it myself for my Gallardo but will probably practice on my S550 first to see how I do lol.
