Touch-up Paint Used without Authorization
Hi CL,
I bought a used 2015 Lexus RC350 in Atomic silver one month ago. I want to protect the paint and so I took the car to a local detailer to get ceramic coated. When I picked up the car, I did not fully inspect the car but when I get home I noticed spots all over the front bumper and some areas on the sides. I thought that it was the ceramic coating not adhering to chips in the paint from rocks and debris that the car accumulated over 85 000+ KMs. I later realized that the touch up paint I had bought, and was located in the passenger glove box had been used. (I had not used it at this point).
I've read that Atomic Silver is notoriously difficult to colour match due to its 5 step paint process. Do you think this is acceptable? What do you think? Personally; i'm not trying to let it bother me but they really do stand out, almost like pimples. It's not the end of the world but I may try and ask them to smooth out the spots at the bare minimum.

You never discussed having touch up paint applied? If so what they did is not acceptable, and why would they do that in the first place it is more work and expense. BTW it looks bad even in pictures.
