Default Topcoat F11-I love this stuff!

So I spent today claying, polishing and then applying F11 TopCoat to my moms Ford Explorer. Then I put a second coat on my Ram.

Tomorrow I will be doing the Corvette's 2nd coat:

A ceramic coating is MUCH harder. F11 lasts 3-6 months...but if you use it as a waterless wash or QD, it lasts forever.

ideally you would ceramic coat, then F11.

How does F-11 differ from the waterless washes and spray sealants that have been on the market for years?

It goes on just like those products, but I would imagine it lasts much longer. And when used as a quick detailer or wash and wax (once a week) the protection it offers lasts indefinitely. It seems to leave an invisible film behind, protecting the paint from bugs, dirt, etc. It has literally replaced my water hose and bucket, except for when the cars are too dirty to go waterless which is my truck only very occasionally.

F11 acts more like a ceramic coating, even though it doesnt last anywhere near as long.

^^ These seem to contradict each other...

Just curious, had you tried waterless washing before F-11? Everything you have described has been available for quite some time with waterless washes that contain polymers for added lubrication, cleaning, and protection.

I am just wondering if F-11 is better than what has been around for a long time, or if it is just another option.

No, they dont. If you do just one treatment and then dont touch the car again, F11 lasts 3-6 months. As opposed to a ceramic coating which can last up to 6 years.

If you use it like a quick detailer, then it is constantly reapplied and layered, so it literally lasts indefinitely.

I'm not sure if its any better in anything other than its longevity vs other products. I do know that if i get light dust/pollen on my corvette, i can literally blow it clean with compressed air or a leaf blower. I have not been able to do that with ONR. Also, the product itself seems to go further than ONR. The 16oz bottle of F11 did my truck 2x, the corvette 3x, my wifes civic once and my moms explorer once, and I still have about half a bottle. Oh and I did the ES too.

F11 is also layerable. If you wait 48 hrs in between coats, each coat will bond to the one underneath it.

Thanks for the review. Is it easy to apply like other sealants? And can it be used over PPF?

it can. Sorry for the late reply. I even use it on my granite countertops in the kitchen, and on the stainless appliances (eliminates fingerprints).

I picked up a bottle, mostly to use on my wood interior trim (hate the glossy wood, but need to keep it protected). Will probably use it on the exterior as well, but I live in the pacific northwest, so I've got a good 6 months of doom and gloom ahead of me, so I'll probably just hold off until spring. Excited to see how it works for me.

Used it this weekend, and I must say, I'm not the slightest bit impressed. Already have dirt on my car that won't rinse away with just water, like they say will happen. Also, it gets really streaky on the windows and headlights, as well as the chrome bits. I've managed to get the streaks off, but it's not worth the money, in my opinion. Back to the basics for me.
