Good HVLP setup?
I just snagged a very lightly used Fuji Mini-Mite 3 setup this weekend for way less than half it's $650 new price. I need to completely refinish the top of the rear spoiler on the back of my wife's '10 RX450h because it's in really rough shape. I actually bought the sprayer for wood working projects, but from what I've read, it sounds like the Fuji 3-stage setup would also work very well for some minor automotive spraying. I'm stocking up on several extra needles and air caps, all the way down to the 1.0mm cap. Would I need to go all the way down to the 0.82mm cap to get good work out of this Fuji machine (6.5 psi, 3-stage turbine) for my plastic spoiler restoration, or can the 1.0 cap do a decent job since it is a 3-stage system?
What do you more experienced guys have to say about this?

Thanks, Zach. I've just joined the "Autobody101" forum, and expect I'll have a more specific audience there who can help. I was not sure if there might be some in here who have some of the experience I'm seeking, so I took a long shot in posting the question.

Well, I did a pretty dang good job on the front bumper with some rattle cans last August, and it was all done outside with no protection whatsoever. Perhaps that might lead you to think I'm one of those "low hurdle mentality" kinds of guys, but I'm not... not by a long shot!
I'll be building a portable break-down booth for my woodworking projects, and can do a lot of small stuff (like my rear roof spoiler) within those confines easily enough.
