Default Any idea what these spots are?

I have these spots on the trunk and hood of my car in varying sizes. The ones in pictures are the largest and worst. They don't come off with a simple quick detailer spray and wipe. Any idea what they are and what to use to remove them? Car was just corrected, polished and waxed.

Looks like etching from water/rain. You also may see something like that from bird droppings. Try a non abrasive polish or clay bar. If that doesn't work, there are products made specifically for water marks sold on Detailers Domain/Autogeek. I want to say CarPro sells a product for this. If that doesn't work, you'll have to do some light to medium compounding.

I agree, these certainly look like water spots. Hopefully it is not too late and you can remove them with a water spot remover, otherwise the spots will need to be corrected in order to level the defects.
