Default simple stain solution..pics(56k nono)

Now before I continue and get any kind of negatives, I have been doing this for a few years for household and automotive use..just be mindful of the instructions.

Ok, now some of us, like my self use our cars as DD's, and have kids (and wives) that like to drink dark colored beverages while the car is in motion..and sooner or later there is going to be an annoying stain somewhere.

Simple solution...Windex..must be brand name Windex.

All you need is:

1 bottle of Windex
1 "fender" brush/ stiff bristle scrub brush..size is up to you
2 to 5 white terry cloth towels...must be clean! no stains on them.

I used my floor mats from my 92 SC, and they are in pretty bad shape overall, but you will notice a large improvement on the appearance.

Directions: Same will apply for carpet inside the vehicle.

1. Vacuum carpet till dirt/dog hair/cookie crumbs/etc. is gone
2. Take your windex and spray till surface of carpet is damp! dont soak the carpet cause it will turn blue..if this occurs, scrub with a wet towel to dilute the windex, then continue below.
3. use your scrub brush and scrub the area till you can see the stain starting to fade. (repeat if needed)
4. Using a terry cloth towel, scrub the area with windex till dry. The more pressure you apply, the better but its not needed if the brush removed most of the stain.
5. Hang dry, or use a blow dryer to finish the job.

Thats it. No need to pull out the shampooer, or a steam cleaner..although they do work better, this is just a quick simple fix.

Now a couple of my before and after pics..and remember, my floor mats are in terrible condition, so focus on the stains.
