Default Optics- Does Color Matter??

I just posted this under an existing thread about Zaino Z-CS but realized it really was a more general question so I am posting under a new Title - sorry to repeat.

Question about optics using Zaino on dark vs. light cars. Always use Zaino on my 2001 Acura CL (not garage kept) - med. deep blue and always a great reflection of me with high optics. Yesterday did my 2004 Lexus SC430 (got it in Jan) for the first time which is Pebble Beach Edition - great light blue/silver color which former owner said he used Zaino. On both cars did 2 layers of Z-5 and one of Z-2 with Z-6 inbetween (Acura had been neglected but really came back). Then today did Z-CS lightly and it has been 6 hrs.

My question - my deep blue Acura shows high optics reflection while the Lexus - light blue is nice and shiny with deep gloss but don't see the high optics reflection when I look at my reflection in the car. Not haze but just not a tight optical reflection. Anyone know if this is common in light colored cars vs. darker colors? The Dark blue looks so dramatic while the light Lexus looks fantastic but not as dramatic. Ain't compaining because I love the SC and the color is the best ever- just wondering.

High optics reflection? Darker Cars usually have better reflection qualities.
Orange Peeling from the clear coat can also blurr the reflection.
Colors with metallic flakes also have less 'reflectivity'

I suspected that darker colors had better reflection. Don't think it is orange peeling on car - at least hope not!! As sun was setting the reflection properties on the Lexus got better and as I stepped back a bit. Also something about the angle at the top of the door of the SC sort of creates no real reflection.

Wow, light color much easier in many ways - don't see every little thing when doing a day of Zaino - but couldn't see what I was doing and where product was and was not. But the high drama of how beautiful the "neglected" Acura looked at days end was really fun to see - lots of work and it shows. Lexus looked good before and after!! Just want to be sure no issues with the paint. Plan to call Sal Zaino tomorrow - he is great.

In fact, I just applied Zaino with a full detail on an 03 millenium silver mettalic es300, and my 1995 diamond pearl white es300 yesterday. The white paint had a clearer reflection (which is odd) , while the metallic specks in the silver muddled the sky reflection.
