Default Is the light blue a "girl color"?

I just got back from the dealer and after looking at all the colors, the only one that looks different is the light blue. At first I thought "baby blue", which is definitely a girl color, but then perhaps the light was hitting it right and it looked pretty good - so I'm thinking that the IS350 in that color might do the trick. Of course, they only have the grey interior (wanted black) so that might make it even more of a girls car? What do you think? I don't want to show up at my big business meetings and have everyone ask if I'm driving my wife's car

lol I dont know if you can classify it as a girl color but I would have to have some serious ***** to buy that color. If you are having second thoughts or worries already, it is not the right choice IMO. But in all honesty, the IS looks good in all colors!

I agree with 350ripper, it reminds me of the color that every grandma and grandpa used to have on their '80 and '90s Caprice Classic. But I know lots of people here, including a few younger males, like the color.

yup... my 1986 corolla hatch back came in a similar light blue color. But of course, the breakwater metallic on the lexus is a much richer paint and is in no way "old" or "feminine". There was a couple modded ones on the forum here and it looks good.

If I were to get one it would not be that color but that is because I like darker colors. If you plan on modding the car I think it will take more thought in choosing parts and wheels to go well with the car. As for the old lady car, the body style itself negates the feel of old lady car.

If you see yourself driving Breakwater Blue, then get it.

If you're unsure, check out the black sapphire pearl, which I think is much more masculine.

Or you could go with the Obsidian, which is the best color

i see over 50% of silver/sgm cars with females in them. of course, this is L.A. so they're everywhere. dr. phil, myself and others love our breakwater. at night, the car is silver. if you need help, here it is.

they will only ask if you're driving your wifes car if they try to sit in the back seat. special order black interior. personally, the sterling is softer, and is much more striking than black since the upper urethane panels are black. the L-finesse design stands out more. good luck!

I'm actually glad most people here don't like breakwater blue or think it's girly. Makes mine more special. I'd even pay extra for the color. For myself only breakwater blue and Glacier Frost Mica are interesting enough for this car. The rest of the colors are too boring and make the car seem cheaper.

I don't like to call cars boy-like or girl-like, but, yeah, I do think the blue is kinda girlish. I wanted to buy a light blue car because I wanted something different from silver. But the IS is just too light or the shade is off or something. My dad's BMW has a very nice shade of blue.

I like this color as well. I looked for it with the options I wanted, but could not locate one. It is not girly at all.
