Go to Autopia and ask any detailer on there. Armor All is not the best product out there. Whether or not the rumors are true or not, I hate the stuff due to its oily nature which fogged up all my windows

That is so good to know. I wasn't really too sure about the old school 250. So would the wood you find in a camry/other toyota the same as lexus, or is that plastic?
And about the armor all, if there is any chance that it will crack or ruin things, I'm just not going to use it. There's way too many other products that can be used instead.

What's wrong w/ plain ole wood oil?

It's no name, thus cheaper - and a proven product?

Most Toyota cars come with "fake" wood...

I believe all Lexus's come with real wood, if anyone watched the youtube video on the IS250/350 production they say they use real wood and apply a bunch of coats and polish, which pretty much makes it look fake.

2 words. Product placement. Money talks, I always see those type of shows using cheap, low-level stereo equipment talking about how great it is. It all depends on who's sponsoring their show.

Yeah I guess you could be right about that. Now that I think about it, they made a point to say they were using the armor all. Damn though, if I was one of their clients and saw them using suspect products just to make a buck on ad's, I'd be a little annoyed.

Where might one get this Plexus stuff?

Remember that your wood trim is coated with a plastic resin. So there is no real "wood grain"

For the imitation wood panels (they are not real wood by any stretch of the imagination), Control panel screen, gauge covers I only use PLEXUS. Easy to use just spray on cloth or the "wood" panel and wipe. Can also be used for plastic headlamp & tail lamp covers - anything of a plastic nature. If you have tinted windows it's great to use on the "film" side of the window.
