please help (scratches)

Default please help (scratches)

friends gate closed on my car the scratches aren't to bad there pretty shallow, what should i use to try to remove them? Also my car is black don't know if that makes a difference.

put your finger over it, if you feel a bump on the scratch then you have a deep scratch and the only thing you can do about it is to put touch up paint you can get that at the dealership. but if you don't feel anything then try to buff it out if you can

what about some scratchx or something similar nufinish? And I dont have a pc so could I buff it out by hand?

Try getting a hold of someone here on the forums about letting them use your car as a guinea pig for their buffer Doing it by hand takes TIME. Trust me, I still have some deep scratches that you can't feel, but can see on my car. I've almost got them out. ( It's been 4 - 5 months now since then )

Quix is meant to be done by hand. Those other products you mentioned work on less noticable scratches. But Quix is designed for that deep scratch. Wet sanding is part of the regimen. It's the way to go for deep scratches.

I beg to differ mate . I'm sure you can find an old post of mine with my ScratchX results. Its quite...stunning

If you want to do it by hand, by all means, do it!

I recommend a buffer though, it'll be a lot less strenuous, and time saving.
