Lexus paint-clear coat. Should we unite in a Class Action Suit? POLL INSIDE

There is no reason to Force the paint regs at all its done just because they can. With the technology now there can be filtration systems that won't let one little particle out of the paint booth. The VOC's spewing out of the average jet plane and there are thousands a day of them makes painting cars look like nothing, and like I said those Voc's can be completely filtered if they wanted that. The ones from the Jet can not.

Yeah really old thread poll is long gone. But funny as I was just thinking this the other day.
Why wouldn't they just use what works. German cars have outstanding clear coat I'm told and mine scratches if you look at it too hard. So disappointing.

Agreed my IS is a 2016 with 30k on the odometer and although babying the hell out of the car it has numerous chips from normal highway driving. Even if you avoid any kind of suspect behavior chips and scratches are inevitable on this paint. By far my biggest grievance with an otherwise bulletproof car. The paint it utter crap.
