Default birdseye maple trim

Can you help me with this. I put gold class wax on the trim.
Seems to look pretty good to me

however when the sun happens to glare of it, I can see circular swirls marks. Normal?

The car is quite new and I don't think I have never used anything other than a new MF cloth for the wood.

Am I doing the right thing with the wax?

those swirls are there because of fine scratches. Its just there due to every day contact. Just like your car's paint, swirls can be induced by wiping the surface dry. To fix the swirls, you'll need to polish it out. Honeslty, I wouldn't sweat about it unless it was really bad and you're really annoyed by it.

Also, wax isn't suppose to remove swirls. The Gold glass has some abilities to hide swirls, but you wont get the full effect of a real polish.

just use some scratch x on the wood trim followed by some wax. It has the same clear coat as the car exterior.

I don't have too much wood in my car, but have swirls on some of the parts. I just ignore it.

Wax and fine polish should work on wood trim, too. Yes, they have the same clear coat.

12 Year old wood trim from the 95 es.
I used scratch x with a microfiber...took about 25 minutes to buff to a scratch-free shine
(I also painted the black trim silver b/c i got bored .

That wood trim you buffed on looks great. I just might give that a try on my car's interior pieces.

I use PLEXUS on the wood trim parts & speedo cluster which just makes these areas shine

Not sure about the aluminum trim...a small test spot would be ok, since scratch x is pretty harmless.
