Hello Sports Fans, Just thought I'd pass along a little tip I saw on Dream Car Garage (Speedvision) last week. I'm sure a lot of you already know this, but for those who don't, here it is: To do a really nice cleaning job on the glass areas, first flood the area with your favorite glass cleaner, then gently go over the entire windshield, etc, with super fine grain steel wool (I used 0000), then wipe dry with a terry-cloth towel. This got rid of those pesky water stains, etc., that seem to accumulate rom time to time. I tried this on my car this weekend, and it really did the job. Just be careful not to hit the paint with the steel wool. Anyway, hope this is helpful.
Actually; it was fairly easy to do. It took about 30-45 minutes to do everything but the inside of the back glass. I probably spend waaaayyyy too much time trying to keep my car looking good, but what the h***, it keeps me out of trouble. At least, so far, anyway. This time of year, it spends as much time under the cover as it does on the road.
Diesel - Gold's idea is good & definitely cheaper than mine but consider trying Griot's Fine Glass Polish. It's abrasives R even finer than those in their paint polish so it really won't hurt your paint if ya get sloppy. BTW - worked nicely on the HID's as well. http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog....1001&SKU=11063
Gold - Gonna havta teach me how keeping your Lexus clean keeps U outta trouble. My wife says I spend WAY too much time & Money on our/her GS so it GETS me in trouble!!
Gene; I guess she figures that if I'm not working on my car, I'd probably be over at the local Hooters, drinking beer, and watching football with the guys. Oh yeah, that's right; I do that anyway. BTW; Happy B'day.
