I would advise that you use an electric leaf blower. A gas powered one will spew a petrol film all over the car. You can't really see it, but it's there. And who'd want to spread an oily film all over a freshly cleaned car, right?
Cheers.
P.S. Of course, you could opt for the 120 MPH highway speed dry method too*

i tried a leaf blower last week. didnt work too well cause it was like 35 degrees out. all it did was blow the water around. i ended up not drying the car cause i was freezing. im sure it would work great in warmer temps though

A leaf blower is a great tool for detailing. I use it all the time when I wash my car at my folks' place. It's just like utilizing the blowers from your local automatic touchless/brushless car wash. Only difference is that the leaf blower allows you to blow out water from spaces around the car which the car wash blowers can't get to.

I use one to clean the interior of the Ford as I would rather not put too much effort in that car. Neighbors get a kick when I have a car cleaning day as I spend 95% of the time on the nice cars and then open all of the doors on the 2006 Ford and hit the interior with the leaf blower. Works great!

... just blowing water off it for drying after wash.
I will have to try this next time. I always have trouble drying. Not really trouble, but more just frustration. My waterblade gets most everything, but I hate the water in the door handles, mirrors, and gas door. I would imagine that one would have to be very careful so as to not point the leaf blower at the ground around the car, for risk of effectively sandblasting the vehicle with all the crap on one's driveway.
