rain marks on lx470
hey, i have a Black lexus 2001 lx470 and i wanted to know what and how is the best way to take off those rain marks off the jeep i washed it a few times and i waxed it but i still see the rain marks under the sunlight and is there a special wax or something that i could take the rain marks off.. thanks...
First try a vinegar wash. If the mineral deposits from the rain haven't etched, that will remove them. Apply white vinegar with a clean sponge( when the car is CLEAN) and do 1 panel at a time, letting the vinegar sit a few minutes. Rinse well and continue with the next panel.
You WILL have to re-wax the car, no way around it. But if that takes the spots out, it's worth it. Others may suggest claying the car instead, and you can certainly try that, but in my experience it doen't work well on anything but really fresh spotting.
If you still have them, it means they've been on long enough to etch the paint. This means your only alternative is to use an abrasive to remove them. Get back to us at that point and we'll help you decide what to use.
