Default Pictures of Pinnacle Souveran in Action

Friends,

Here are some Souveran pics on a BMW at full resolution. As you can see Pinnacle Souveran is terrific on quality black paint...I also have done Lexus GS with same results but did not have pics available:

We used Z-7, Sonus Block and Glyde for claying, SSR2.5, then straight to Souveran. Seems to work well. I added AIO to the process for the older 325 shots I put up earlier.

Wheels were done with PB Wheel Sealant and Wolfgang Black Diamond tire gel. Z-16 also works well.

Thanks,

I do mail order mostly - AutoGeek.net, Specialty Motoring Products, Pakshak, etc. Delivery and customer service have been great with all the boutique vendors.

I forgot to post the GS I did...here it is:

Souveran is awesome on black/dark cars. Nice deep reflections. Not worth it on lighter cars though - expensive stuff. Good job yESman

I applied the Souveran by hand. Before I used a PC on 5-6 with Poorboys SSR2.5 to remove swirls. I apply with a Cobra MF applicator and buff out with PakShak towels.

One of the keys I have found is to clay the car. I like Sonus Block clay and the corresponding Glyde lubricant. I use P21S soap before and after the clay. The clay just helps prepare a smooth surface for polishing and waxing and removes environmental contaminants from the clearcoat as well as overspray. It is also very good with difficult brake dust on wheels and tough road tar.

Been experimenting a while and this process seems to work best for me.

Thanks Lee. Pinnacle is expensive. I'm seeing around $65 a can. Ohh well you get what you pay for i'm a firm believer in that. I might have to invest in some when my #16 runs out for good.

Domenic,

Autopia Car Care has a 25% off sale on Pinnacle right now - coupon code PINNACLE. That helps get the cost down.

If you want to load up for summer on detailing products, you can't beat the kit pricing from AutoGeek on the Pinnacle line which really drives the cost of Souveran down and you get Paint Cleansing Lotion, quality Cobra MFs, Bodywork Shampoo, and Crystal Mist plus other things depending on the kit composition.

I also find that a jar lasts a while.
