Default Painted emblems today

OK so today I removed all my emblems as they were looking very worn. sanded them, painted them gold ( was a compromise between me and the wife, I wanted to do a color called ice that fades from black to silver, black car ) tried to stay factory, took my time and gave them like 6 coats, then 4 coats of clear. They look 200% better very smooth and nice. But they just don't hav ethe shine like the original gold emblems. Is the only way to get that shine back to have them dipped or buy new ones ?
I will post pics later in the week.

I don't know if it will work now that you have painted the emblems, but there are people around here that re-gold the emblems on the car. Last time I had it done, it was about $100 and looked like brand new. That was 5 years ago and needs to be redone now. Found the guy thru the dealer and he did it both for the dealer and on his own (cheaper!). You might inquire at the dealer.

Hmm, I dont know. What the kind they use in spraypaint? I guess I would recommend that, just go to Home Depot and buy a high quality spray clearcoat

I work at the Lexus deale in the detail center and we have tha ability t do it to. If you talk to the guy in charge there I'm sure he'd be able to get you a nice deal on re-golding your emblems.

P.S.-anyone in the Seattle are, come to Lexus of Bellevue for the best detailing around for you Lex.
