op....u might wanna specify also if u have nav or not. if u have nav u DONT have the compass in the rear view mirror, if u DONT have nav it comes with a compass in the rear view mirror

Also depends on year. Not all that don't have nav do have compass in the mirror. My '99 did not (as none of them did) but i upgraded mine with one from an '03 w/compass. That's what he should be looking for. Check ebay for one of those. Got mine from LKQ on ebay. Simple plug-n-play.
I think compass mirrors w/out nav started in '01?

sorry i wasn't specific... I have a 1999 Gs300 and it does have the compass in it. I don't care for the compass because i have a Garson Mirror attacthed to it. The only problem is that it literally broke off the section that is glued to the glass... I might actually need the part that is glued to the glass also if thats posbbile
