Canadian police have been investigating this ring of international thieves that steal the luxury cars to ship them abroad. Lexus told CTV Ottawa that auto theft of this kind is a problem across the industry. That certainly makes sense as keyless entry is becoming more and more common, so any automaker using similar methods is vulnerable to thieves getting a hold of the correct frequencies.

But Lexus remains committed to remain one step ahead in security technology. “We continue to develop tech that strengthens the integrity and security of our vehicles.”
