“So, what is the Lexus LX570 like to drive?” said Baker. “This is a big brood of a thing; that much is probably evident from just looking at it. It’s large and it’s in charge. That’s basically the vibe that the LX gives off on the road.”
The big Lexus delivers a command driving position superior to Land Rover, Baker adds, offering excellent views up front with big mirrors to capture the action behind and alongside. The 5.7-liter V8 offers plenty of torque to move the LX along the road, though Australians can also opt for a 4.5-liter twin-turbo diesel V8 for even more torque.
Baker says the LX570 may be a bit much those living in tighter spaces found in the city. However, through Encore Platinum, it is the perfect vehicle for a week-long getaway from Sydney or Melbourne. Now, when will the United States get to punch its ticket for the Encore Platinum Express?
Cameron Aubernon's path to automotive journalism began in the early New '10s. Back then, a friend of hers thought she was an independent fashion blogger.
Aubernon wasn't, so she became one, covering fashion in her own way for the next few years.
From there, she's written for: Louisville.com/Louisville Magazine, Insider Louisville, The Voice-Tribune/The Voice, TOPS Louisville, Jeffersontown Magazine, Dispatches Europe, The Truth About Cars, Automotive News, Yahoo Autos, RideApart, Hagerty, and Street Trucks.
Aubernon also served as the editor-in-chief of a short-lived online society publication in Louisville, Kentucky, interned at the city's NPR affiliate, WFPL-FM, and was the de facto publicist-in-residence for a communal art space near the University of Louisville.
Where do you go for answers when you have a Lexus with a gorgeous leather interior but are not sure about how to maintain that luxurious look? The "Club Lexus" forums, of course.
