Lexus LX’s Synergistic Climate Concierge Is Always the Right Temp
My parents’ marriage was pretty much saved when Lexus began offering both driver and passenger their own climatic domain in the family RX. So when you talk to me about Lexus’s forward-thinking interior technology, Climate Concierge, I listen, just in case my own marriage needs saving.
That’s why I found this latest piece from the USA Today so interesting. The writer, Keith Barry, is given a brand new Lexus LX 570 as a press car, and rather than focus on its obvious outdoor capabilities, he decides to focus on its interior. Barry is particularly interested in the big SUV’s available Climate Concierge, which is a grand technology indeed, but it first debuted on the LS flagship sedan back in 2012.
Still, I’m sure many folks have forgotten about the not-exactly new, but still cutting-edge technology, which “works thanks to a software algorithm that relies on up to 13 sensors and multiple climate control zones, plus control over ventilation, surface heating, and cooling.”
In other words, you set your perfect temp, say 71 degrees Fahrenheit, and your Lexus will synergistically tweak your climate zone (there are four separate climate zones in the LX 570) to keep it at that assigned temp. Hands free. Noise free, for the most part, unless it’s a particularly cold or hot day.
It’s pretty amazing tech, to be sure, recommended by marriage counselors everywhere.
