LC 500 Rocks Nurburgring With the Sound of Fury
We’re still a ways off, but the 2018 Lexus LC 500 continues to stoke enthusiasm, the likes Lexus hasn’t seen since the LFA. Or heard for that matter.
What’s helping keep the fire good and stoked is that when a new LC 500 video comes out, like the one shown below, all the auto sites, like ours, happily post every last glimpse of Lexus’s not-yet-released luxury 2 + 2 flagship. In this case though, it’s not all about the views as much as it is about the sound. Though the views are still splendid.
The vid caught the LC 500 doing some testing at the Nurburgring — aka the most famous track in all the land. And as you can hear, the sexy coupe puts on quite the concert. So good, that Jalopnik emphatically declared it the winner in an unsanctioned exhaust-off with two BMWs racing nearby.
Of course, that’s what we’ve come to expect from the 5.0-liter, naturally-aspirated V8 monster utilized by the LC, which is already in use in the RC F and GS F, though the LC will sport a little more oomph. But perhaps the new free-flowing exhaust and dual intake make the LC just a bit more throaty?
Doesn’t it just make you super excited for the next LC 500 video to drop?
