High School Football Star Leaps Over Lexus IS (Video)
Texas recruit makes NBA stars look silly with his amazing athleticism.
Top level athletes are amazing physical specimens, there’s no doubt about that. Able to do things that most of us can only dream of. Which, apparently, includes leaping over cars. Now we’ve seen quite a few folks attempt the stunt in the past, including an infamous clip of former Laker’s legend Kobe Bryant clearing an Aston Martin. But that clip turned out to be fake. Then, at the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Competition, Blake Griffin jumped over a Kia. But he only cleared the hood.
On the other hand, this video, which shows star high school linebacker Marcel Brooks leaping over a 2nd gen Lexus IS, looks very real. Not only that, but he jumps over the highest point of the sedan – the roof. Brooks posted the clip on his Twitter account recently, and we must say, we’re quite impressed. Even if he is “only” clearing the width of the car instead of the length.

As you might imagine after watching this incredible display of athleticism, Brooks, who attends Marcus High in Flower Mound, Texas, is a rather good football player, too. According to 24/7 Sports, he’s currently the 4th outside linebacker prospect in the nation and 8th overall prospect in Texas. Which isn’t too hard to believe after witnessing his seemingly effortless feat.
Brooks has already received scholarship offers from top tier schools including Texas, TCU, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and LSU. And we’re going to go out on a limb and say that this video won’t do anything to keep his phone from ringing even more.
