Lesson #1: Driving a Lexus Makes You Sexier. A lot Sexier.
Forget love potions and lipo, it’s driving a Lexus that makes you irresistible. Just ask these hip-hop superstars…
Throughout the years and from dozens of hit songs that name-drop Lexus, we have learned a lot about life and our love of cars, as well as gaining a lot of graphic insight into the opposite sex. But perhaps the most ubiquitous declaration that we’ve heard inferred in countless rap odes is about the powerful evocative sex appeal of the Lexus. Simply put, according to some of the most successful artists in modern music, driving a Lexus makes you sexier. A lot sexier.
Need confirmation? Check out the naughty 2013 track “Box Chevy,” which features Rick Ross rapping incessantly about two things — but we can only mention one of them: Lexus. After initially starting his road to success in a box Chevy, Ross noticed that his sex life got a helluva lot better once he upgraded to a “blue Lexus.” The downside to that, of course, is that now the sexy Lexus is his own competition. How does slick Rick solve the dilemma?
“My b— stay down with me, so now she got the new Lexus,” Ross raps on the track. Sure, he later reveals that he also had to buy his lady friend her own salon, too, but hey, being sexy has a price. Ross doesn’t see to mind though because the Lexus is one of the reasons that he is “busy getting p—- like a f— boss.”
Fellow hip-hop hit-maker Missy Elliott echoes Ross’ sentiments about the aphrodisiac-like power of a Lexus in her 1999 hit “Hot Boyz.” On the track, Missy specifically mentions that much of the “hot boyz” hotness derives from the fact that they drive sexy Lexuses.
“Baby, you got what I want,” proclaims Missy. “See y’all be drivin’ those Lexus jeeps and Benz jeeps and the Lincoln jeeps. Nothin’ cheaper wit’ the Platinum Visa.”
Equally swayed by the sex appeal of Lexus is Lil’ Kim, who tosses in her two cents about how Lexus is coming close to replacing diamonds as a girl’s best friend on her early 2000s song “Diamonds.” “She said she wants a man to buy her a Lexus…,” Kim raps unapologetically, giving us the female perspective on the situation. However, while she says that most ladies prefer a Lexus, Lil Kim makes it clear that she wants diamonds. But she explains exactly why anyone would for something else over a Lexus by admitting: “I’m a mess, nevertheless, I’m authentic.”
Late, great rap legend Tupac Shakur also mentions his love for Lexus on a couple of his hits, including “Picture Me Rollin.” And in 1996, he confirmed on his track “Wonda Why They Call U B—” that the Lexus is a babe-magnet that is practically guaranteed to help you score. However, in his case, that was not a good thing. Tupac recounts in rhyme the story of an unfaithful lover who just couldn’t resist the allure of a Lexus owner she met at a bar. ”
‘I guess he said he had a Lexus. What’s next?
You headin’ to his car for some sex?’
“Talkin’ to some n—– ’bout his car. I guess he said he had a Lexus. What’s next? You headin’ to his car for some sex?” ponders Tupac on “Wonda Why They Call U B—,” from his classic album All Eyez on Me.
Now, all things considered, the Lexus is indisputably one sexy mofo with the power to make Valentino feel inferior in the sex appeal department. Because when you are lucky enough to have a music career as successful as Missy or Rick Ross yet you still fear losing your lover to a Lexus, then you know that is one helluva powerfully alluring luxury vehicle that nothing and no one can touch! Not even the Hammer.
