2024 Lexus UX Gets a Few Updates, Including More Range for UX 300e

While the 2024 Lexus UX lineup receives some minor updates, the all-electric UX 300e will come with a much larger battery.

After debuting for the 2019 model year, the Lexus UX is still a fairly fresh product, though in the automotive world, a few years is a very long time. Thus, there are a few updates in store for the 2024 Lexus UX – including the all-electric UX 300e, which isn’t sold in the U.S. – that aim to keep the small, luxurious crossover relevant in one of the hottest automotive segments on earth over the past few years. For the regular ICE UX, these changes are relatively minor, but the EV variant has been treated to one rather large and notable update.

That is, as it turns out, a bigger battery – a 72.8 kWh unit versus the old version’s 54.3 kWh battery, which is a rather large jump. As one might imagine, a larger battery pack means more range – 560 kilometers (348 miles) on the generous NEDC cycle versus the outgoing model’s 400 km (249 miles). Unfortunately, these measurements are quite a bit different from how we calculate EV range in the U.S., so it’s hard to compare it apples-to-apples to other all-electric vehicles, but it’s a noticeable improvement, regardless.

The 2024 Lexus UX 300e churns out 150 kW (210 horsepower) and 300 Nm (221 pound-feet) of torque, and is available in two trims – Luxury, which starts out at $53,840, and Sports Luxury which features an MSRP of $59,562. The very first mass produced all-electric vehicle from Lexus is set to hit showrooms this summer, though unfortunately, it still isn’t destined for the U.S. as of now.

As for the rest of the 2024 Lexus UX lineup, all models are now available with the optional power back door with a kick sensor. The Lexus Interface system is also standard and includes an 8-inch touchscreen (or an optional 12.3-inch unit), along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety System+ 2.5 is also standard across the lineup and includes an array of advanced driver assist features.
