2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Gallery from Chicago Auto Show
While there are rumors that Lexus might enter the small pickup truck game with a premium offering, Toyota is soldering ahead with their own trucks. At the top of the tree for the midsize trucks that Toyota offers sits the TRD Pro Tacoma. The latest version of that truck was just unveiled at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show and we have the latest pictures from the show floor.
While power is unchanged from the lower versions of the truck, the V6 engine can be had with either a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. That’s right clutch fans, you can row-your-own gears on the highest trim level Tacoma when it goes on sale later this year!
The TRD Pro series includes extra off-road hardware to make it easy to keep going when the going gets tough, and retains Toyota’s Crawl Control (CRAWL) in case the situation gets really bad.
The truck will go on sale later this year and pricing hasn’t been announced, but we are looking forward to driving it!
