Default Rims and Tires

Please need help deciding what type of RIm and Tire size would look good on my 2001 Black GS430. Living in Hawaii plan to order some offline. Where is good place to look. Thought about the L Sportline model 4. Please need help soon

That's a wide open question... some people like 18's, some people like 20's and some people go in between with 19's. Many like staggered setups (wider on back) but then you can't rotate. Then there's your budget!

I would recommend getting hubcentric rims for a smoother ride. I also think that although expensive, you can't go wrong with HRE wheels. Check www.hrewheels.com

you can't go wrong with HRE, alright, but that price is fairly ridiculous. i'd be glad to find a nice used set though

did manaray's spirit get transferred to you, bit?

not sure about your budget, HREs are nice high lines. and i will add a few good brands for you to choose:

www.work-wheels.co.jp

www.rayswheels.co.jp

www.arw.co.jp

www.weds.co.jp

most of these are special order from japan..you can go to a shop, or have them imported privately

Hehe... funny thing is, SQUARE357 is in Hawaii and I bought my HREs off a guy who's in Hawaii!!!!

GS4Will - some nice brands you listed there, but I still gotta recommend hub centric wheels if a person can swing it. For example, I don't think WEDS will make rims specific to the Lexus hub. KayGee on here has L-Sportline rims (which look like EXCELLENT quality) and they're hub centric.

Bit...except for a few wheel brands, it is recommended that the hubrings are used on aftermarket wheels..that is why whenever guys/gals ask me to get them wheels from japan, i Always include ALL the hardwares, including the FORGED hub rings from japan for them

Good man!!!!! Someone bought my WEDS wheels recently, which unfortunately did not come with rings - are you able to get some forged ones for this person??? I got plastic ones after the fact though.

i have to say HRE are some awesome wheels as well. of course if you just go out and swing the price it's killing, but if you know the right person you can get some pretty sweet deals for what you get hehe...
